1-21-10 A New Venture
This day was a Thursday and I had rehearsal. I tried rehearsing in some ridiculous high heels for my character and I found that they brought a new element to my character just by forcing her to walk different. This is part of why costume is important in developing a character. The rehearsal went well, but man, after a year of wearing mostly flats wearing heels is getting to be more and more painful for me. It's like my feet have adjusted to flats and now refuse to go back. I have to be a little more careful in heels now because I think I tweaked my knee a bit in rehearsal with the heels.
When I got home I saw a link about Joseph Gordon Levitt. He's an actor you might know him from "3rd Rock From the Sun" or "500 Days of Summer". He has started a collaborative production company called "Hitrecord.org". It's a site that lets writers, filmmakers, actors, and artists all come together to make collaborative projects. You can see him talking about it here. I thought it was a great idea so, I made my own profile on it. I have uploaded anything to collaborate with other than my initial "avatar/portrait" yet though. Still, I am very excited, it's a great idea! Very interesting and fun! So, that was my main "new thing" today!
