04/23/10 FRIDAY FUNDAY!

Today I rose from my slumber with the sun. I dragged my sleep deprived butt out of bed where I was comfortably snuggled up with my very warm dog and put on some workout clothes. Then I put on a Bar Method Workout DVD and worked up a sweat all before it was even 6 am. I haven't been able to accomplish this sort of early morning workout in years. So, I was pretty proud of myself. Then I hurriedly got ready for work and dashed out the door only to find myself trapped in unexpected and very uncommon traffic on my way to work. That made me angry. I tried to stay calm and zen like but when I realized that there was no way in hell I'd be on time to my still new job, I freaked and threw a tantrum. They were doing construction on a very busy four lane street in morning rush hour and had closed it down to one lane. Are you kidding me? Who's brilliant idea was that? ARGH.

Anyway, I got to work and made it through the day and then Curtis and I went to start registering for the wedding. A department store was having a wedding registry event tonight that we had signed up for. We didn't really know what to expect but it was really fun and we got all kinds of neat free stuff!

In the end our "schwag bag" consisted of a swiss army canvas tote with a free spatula with heart cut outs in it, a free whisk, two lovely glasses for espresso (or other drinks as well... perhaps a hot coffee cocktail of some sort?) a pen on a rope (I have no idea why that was given to us) and two very awesome knives! Hooray for free stuff! We also got some free food and lemonade. Always nice. :)

And we decided that our kitchen will be red and silver. A lot of the stuff I liked is red and silver. Oh! And we picked out our china pattern! It is white and silver. And quite lovely if I do say so myself. :)

04/24/10 Visit to the Hacienda.

Today I was at work. Of course. I'm not complaining, it's not like I did super exciting things all the time when I didn't work, but I did have the option to. Sometimes, when I have a job I miss the option of being able to just go have an adventure on a whim. When I don't have a job I miss having money. I guess the grass is always greener. ;-)

In any case, my photo is of my legs under my desk. Not particularly exciting but I kinda liked my outfit today. It's kind of my wedding colors.

After work Karen, Henry and I went to visit the wedding venue. I have to say seeing a year old baby's wide eyed excitement upon seeing my venue was pretty awesome! He was pretty wowed my it all. Karen also liked it and she happens to know one of the wedding coordinators there! Yay! I'm finally at the point in my planning where I am no longer stressed and really excited and looking forward to it all! I have a Matron and Maid of Honor and both are really talented and like to do a lot of the stuff involved in making a wedding happen so, really, I lucked out there.

Now that I have my dress and venue the rest is fun!

After our visit there I went home, and kind of collapsed. Working full time again might be the death of me. It's so exhausting! And yest I have become much more productive. Busy begets busy I suppose! :)

04/21/2010 It's Wednesday ..... Eh.....

Today I went to work. Work was uh... work. I'm already starting to feel like everything in my life revolves around my new job. I don't really like that. I've also already been asked to work overtime. That's nice money wise but I can't say the idea thrills me. Oh well. After work I went to the gym. Then I came home and did some yoga. That part was nice. It was windy and rainy. And that's really all I have to say. My photo is of my car radio clock on my way to work.

Tuesday Blues.... 4-20-10

It's 4/20 so you know what THAT means.... right? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.... Well, not for me. I don't smoke. Pot or anything else for that matter. So really for me it meant I got to go to my job for the 2nd day. It didn't go quite as well as yesterday. I knew going in it wasn't my dream job, so I can't complain. It's a job. It pays me pretty good money to do a job that while frustrating and tedious at times, is not really HARD and it allows me to accomplish other goals like paying off bills and possibly fixing the things that are wrong with my car. And you, know, pay for my wedding. So, I am grateful to have it but man today was a long and rough day for me. In a moment I am going down to the corner store to by a lottery ticket. I can dream can't I? :)

In other news, today Curtis took Frankie for a morning walk since I knew it was supposed to rain later today and I wanted to make sure Frankie got a walk. They both enjoyed their walk and Frankie ate all of his food right away this morning after the walk! That's good. Sometimes when my schedule changes he freaks out for a week or so and won't eat unless I am there. So, I am glad that that is settled. My pic of the day is of Frankie cuddled up to me on the couch. He was so glad when I got home. He's a good boy.

Well, that's about it. Tonight I am going to work out a bit, possibly do some cleaning and then I am gonna get stuff ready for work tomorrow so that I can sleep in a little longer in the morning. Then it's "Lost" on tv and then bed for me. This whole getting up early and going to work for 9 hours thing is exhausting! But it frees me from unemployment so it's worth it! :)

Monday 04/19/2010

Today was my first day back in the workforce. I started at 9 am today but from now on I will be an eight to fiver. I haven't had to do this in sooo long. Luckily I have been so busy the last few weeks that I've been waking up earlier. That's good because it got me back in the swing of things for this job.

The people in the office seem very nice. The office itself is also nice. I got a bag of tootsie pops, a bag of cotton candy and got taken out to lunch all on my first day! The job itself is nothing to write home, (or in your blog) about. It's helping new hires get all their paperwork, background check info and drug tests completed. It's a lot of data entry, fact checking and researching stuff. There are a lot of programs to learn and a lot of steps involved. I'm sue I'll get it soon, but right now it is a bit overwhelming. I showed Curtis all the packets I brought home and even he said "Geez! That's a lot!".

Luckily the office is pretty close. About 15 minutes away. That's nice. Especially because Frankie isn't handling my being gone all day well. Curtis said he didn't eat until 4:45. Ugh. Poor Frankie. He worries when I am gone so it's nice to not have to waste time before or after work in traffic.

It's also close to my gym though yesterday I worked out at home. I took Frankie on a 3 mile walk and then did some Bar Method via a dvd. I hadn't done Bar Method in over 2 months. It was definitely harder this time. I almost cried. But I did it. My photo is of Frankie on my workout/yoga mat. He loves to lay on that thing! :)

Anyway, I better get to work!

Sunday 04-18-10

Today I just got ready to start my new job. I did some housecleaning and some organizing and then Curtis and I went shopping. I got some new work clothes at the mall while he got Mrs. Fields Cookies. So, really he was stuffing his gut while I was sucking mine in while trying on clothes. :) Not really, but I thought that sounded funny. :) After that we stopped at a bookstore where Curtis browsed and I ended up buying the next book in the Sookie Stackhouse Vampire novels (my new guilty pleasure) and also these two "Do you know your Bride/Groom" quiz books! Then we went to Target and then to the grocery store. Then we came home, ate dinner, and then collapsed while doing our quizzes. We both did VERY well and it was fun! We both learned some things about each other that we hadn't known. But mostly we knew all the important stuff. :)

04-10-10 through 04-17-10

Another busy week! And this is my last group posting of my days! At least for a while... :)

On Saturday April 10th I helped out Curtis at the acting school. I haven't been there in a long time so it was odd to be back. Some of the kids are quite funny and cute and some.... man... I kinda fear for our future. So many parents just completely spoil and coddle their children! There were so many spoiled brats and also some kids who are sweet but who are way behind in terms of their speech development. And this is mostly due to the fact that their parents seem to want them to be babies forever and don't push them at all when it comes to learning how to speak correctly. I mean, there are always a few kids who have to see speech therapists for lisps or whatnot but this is different. This is 5 year olds that I can barely understand due to extreme baby talk and underdevelopment. Yet these same 5year olds seem to think that the earth revolves around them so that combined with watching their overprotective and coddling parents interact with them leads me to believe that the parents are to blame. But like I said, there are also some really sweet, cute and talented kids there as well.

Anyway, after that I went home and started dinner before Curtis got home. We got that ready and then went over to Karen's to help her decorate for Henry's birthday party. It ended up being a good night but a long one. A chandelier fell down and shattered glass from the light bulbs everywhere inches from my face but nobody was hurt thank goodness! And Curtis and I hung streamers and made a banner and ate the tasting cake Karen made to taste what the birthday cake would taste like. She also made some frosting that Curtis couldn't stop eating! When Mark got home from work we stopped working on the party and just sat around and chatted for a bit with some drinks. It was a nice way to end things. We left around midnight full of food and frosting!

On Sunday April 11th Curtis and I started the day by taking Frankie on a walk to go get some coffee. We figured we could kill two birds with one stone that way. We got Frankie some exercise and we didn't have to make coffee at home and also got exercise. I guess maybe that was really 3 birds. Oh well. :) I think my main point is that we've been trying really hard to keep more active lately. After that we ate some breakfast and then Curtis headed to work. I got ready and headed over to Karen's house for Henry's first birthday party! Yay! It was really fun! I got to see some people I hadn't seen in a while and Henry had a great time and we all got some great food and wine (except Henry. No wine for him!) and a good time was had by all! The only downside for me was that I didn't have my ring because it had been at the jewelers being fixed. The diamond had come loose and it needed repair. So, all the people congratulating me wanted to see the ring but I didn't have it. But the day wasn't about me anyway, it was about Henry so, it really wasn't that big a deal. Curtis came late and he also enjoyed himself. Before I left Karen and I looked at some possible bridesmaids dresses and shoes. And that was pretty much my day!

Monday April 12th~ We booked our venue! It was exactly one month from the night Curtis proposed! We put down a deposit and therefore set our date! Hooray! We also got a nice discount! Double hooray! We started the day with a nice workout at the gym together and then we got ready and went to book the venue. Julie met us there so she could see the venue and also make sure we asked all the questions we wanted to. That was really the biggest part of the day! I also got caught up on some other things. But nothing too exciting. It also rained in the morning. I like rain.

Tuesday April 13th~ It continues to be cold. So my photo is of Frankie in his sweatshirt.

I think I did some laundry and maybe cleaned or something. I'm not really sure what I did today to be exact. I know Curtis and I went to the gym together again. And that's really all I got. Oh! And we got In N Out for dinner. I loved their grilled cheese with grilled onions. Mmmm. And we watched "Lost". And I started my taxes. That's all I got. Sorry.

Wednesday April 14th~
I did my taxes just in the nick of time! And I am getting money back but since I still owe taxes from a previous year it will go to those! But that's okay because I am just so excited to not owe this year! And I will also be just about done paying off my taxes now thanks to this! Woo-hoo! I hadn't done any 1099 MISC Independent Contractor work in this past year which was kind of good in that my taxes were SOOOOO easy! My photo is of my tax forms after I completed them and printed them out!

Thursday April 15th~
Today I had an interview for a job I applied for back in January. It went really well! From there I went to pick up my niece Katie because she had been sick the night before and couldn't go to school and had been hanging out with my brother at his school where he teaches until I could get to her. He teaches middle school. When I went to sign in at the office there was a whole group of kids just getting to school at 10 am for no real reason. Sigh... youth of today. The office lady was yelling at them about being responsible and being old enough to learn how to use things like alarm clocks. Anyway, so, I picked up Katie and we went back to my brother and sis in law's house where we both laid down to rest a bit and Katie watched cartoons. Later she was feeling much better and so she had lunch while i worked out on their elliptical machine. I had planned on going to the gym after my interview before they called me to watch Katie so this way I was still able to squeeze my workout in! Then I ate lunch and then a little later we played in the backyard until my sis in law Kerri got home. From there I went home to get changed to go up to Burbank for an appt I had up there. I also got a call saying that I got the job I interviewed for! And I start on Monday! Wow! That's much faster than I thought! I'm really glad to have a job again FINALLY but kind of taken off guard at not having next week to finish up some things. When I interviewed they said I wouldn't know until the end of next week and would start the following Monday if I got the job. This was quite a lot faster than expected! So I hurriedly changed and cleaned up and then headed up to Burbank. It was rush hour at this point so the drive wasn't great but it also wasn't as bad as it could have been. After my appointment up there I drove home exhausted and hungry. Poor Frankie had been alone a lot of the day and I felt bad leaving him alone so much. He's not going to like it when I am at work 9 hours a day again. :( Oh well. I need to make money to keep him in kibble! ;-) But honestly I did kind of miss being home. So my photo of the day is of a pillow I got a present with me, Curtis and Frankie by the fireplace. I was glad to go to bed tonight. So. Very. Tired.

Friday April 16th 2010~
Today started off with me filling out a ton of new hire forms for my new job! Yay! And then, about halfway through the day I decided to check my credit score which had been steadily improving over the last couple of years. So, imagine my surprise to find out that I had a new "Alert" from my credit tracker membership saying that my credit had recently had a bad thing posted on it and my credit had just plummeted! Upon further inspection I had a negative posting on my credit from a collection agency I had talked to in January. It's a long story but in a nutshell, these people are saying I owe money to BMG Music from 2006! And while I did receive cds from them back then, I also paid off my account and closed it! So I called these people in January and told them I didn't owe the money. They asked if I could prove it with a cancelled check. I said I couldn't because I don't keep checks that long. And also what if I had paid with a credit card? I don't even have the same credit card that I did way back then! They said they'd look into it. I never heard back from them. I figured it was still being investigated or had been dropped. Nope, they had made a decision that the debt was valid, but hadn't notified me and then posted it to my credit. Now, I've dealt with legitimate credit collection claims and I have also dealt with a bogus claim before. The previous bogus claim I was able to prove because it said I owed AT&T money and I was able to contact AT&T and have them send me a letter stating that I had never been sent to collections by them. But in this case, BMG music went out of business in June of 2009. This company said they bought my debt in December or 2009. From WHO?! Argh. Upon further research I found that there are several hundred complaints against this so called collection agency stating that they are being extorted by them with bogus claims that are hurting their credit! It's a TOTAL SCAM! I'm so pissed off I could spit fire. So, I'm reporting these evil assholes to every agency I can and am also going to sue them if they don't clear my case and fix my credit. Since both my dad and one of my best friends is a lawyer it shouldn't be too hard for me to do this. I think this can be fixed but what a pain in the ass! And what an AWFUL way to end what started out as a really good week! I spent the entire day on the phone getting yelled at and threatened by the rude assholes who work for this bogus company and then researching how to fight them on this. Since there are hundreds of complaints against them I am hoping to have my credit repaired quickly. But who knows.

So, if you've ever been contacted by the National Recovery Agency or West Bay Acquisitions regarding a bogus BMG or Columbia Music charge please let me know. I'm more than happy to start a class action law suit against these assholes. This is also a form of identity theft (which I am pretty sure is a felony) because I know for a fact I never gave my social security number to BMG so someone somewhere got it unlawfully and is using my old BMG account to extort money from me. They say if I pay they will remove the negative post on my credit which is strange since legitimate collections agencies just mark it as paid or settled. It usually stays on your credit when it's legit. That's just one more way that I know they are not legit. They are posting these bogus claims on people's credit which ruins their credit and then they make them pay the amount to fix the credit. It's all a scam. And I refuse to pay. I ended the day with a long walk with Frankie to relieve some stress, a glass of wine and some nice conversation with some friends.

Saturday April 17th 2010~ Today was another busy day! I woke up early to water the plants. My mom is on vacation and has a bout a million and one plants. They're beautiful but man there's a lot of plants. Then I picked up the dog poop in the yard since the gardeners are coming and then I got ready and Curtis, Frankie and I headed out to our nephew Dylan's t-ball game! Frankie enjoyed the park atmosphere and some kids played with him and he loved that and the t-ball games was fun to watch! Then we stopped by Curtis's mom's house to walk the dogs there since Curtis's dad is out of town and usually does that. So Frankie, Pete and Abby all got a walk. Then it was home so I could feed Frankie and myself and Curtis left for work. I cleaned and organized and paid some bills and then I went to the post office and the bank on my way to my niece Sarah's soccer game. The games was a nail biter and they lost by 1 goal that was a total fluke! Oh well. Then my sis in laws Kerri and Molly and my nieces and I went bridesmaid dress shopping. It was really fun! We all had a good time! Then I stopped to get groceries and then again to get some dog food for Frankie and then it was home again. I made dinner, did the dishes and some laundry and then collapsed on the couch. It was a fun day but man I was pooped!
My photo is of the girls trying on dresses. But these are not all the right colors or styles. You'll have to wait to see what was actually picked! :)

04-04-10 through 04-09-10

Sorry to be catching up in groups but man the last couple of weeks have been crazy busy! I've been really productive and lots of things have happened but unfortunately it's affected my ability to blog everyday! But I plan to be better at that moving forward!

So, on April 4th we celebrated Easter with my family. We had a great day of more food that included my mom's famous baked macaroni and cheese (a Southern Favorite), some really good salad, wonderful greenbeans and about a million desserts! There was also a ham for people who eat ham. But I don't. And after we ate we did an egg hunt with my nieces and then watched movies and played Rock Band until everyone had to go home. Oh and did I mention the earthquake? There was a 7.2 earthquake in Baja California right after we ate! It wasn't as strong here but it was still a pretty big earthquake! We felt it for a long time! It was long and changed direction a few times! It was kind of a rolling earthquake here not really a shaking one. Everyone here was fine though and there wasn't any damage of anything.

On Monday April 5th I caught up on some chores and laundry. I also cleaned out my closet a bit and brought out my summer clothes. They all needed to be washed since they'd been stored away so there was a lot of laundry. It was a catch up day in general so there isn't much else to report. I did the usual, looked for jobs, looked at wedding stuff, caught up on emails and such and did some chores. My photo is of some of my summer dresses hang drying after being washed.

On Tuesday April 6th I went with Karen and Henry to downtown LA to go to the flower an toy district. We were looking at flowers for the wedding and getting some toy decorations for Henry's upcoming birthday party! I hadn't ever really been down there other than just driving through and it was an interesting experience for me. Kind of scary and yet not. We passed a lot of homeless people since the flower market and toy district are located somewhat unfortunately close to skid row. Kind of a weird dichotomy there. Homeless people make me sad and it is weird to see so many people with nothing but the shirts on their backs while shopping for frivolous things like flowers and toys. We also passed two bodies on stretchers which was kind of freaky. There were also a couple of runaway looking teens who may or may not have been hookers as well. Sad. And kinda scary. Then after we looked at the pretty flowers and the fun toys we went to Phillipe's for an early lunch. Phillipe's is an LA Landmark! It's apparently famous for it's French Dips. But that's not what I had. Well, we had wanted breakfast but we had a minor diversion looking for keys we thought were lost so it took a while and by the time we found them it was lunch time there. Then we went home and I met up with Curtis to go get him signed up on my gym membership so we can be workout buddies! Yay! It was a long day but a good one!

Wednesday April 7th- Today we met with the trainer for our fitness assessment. I was weighed and had my body fat calculated. None of this was fun. My body fat is a bit higher than I would like. But the trainer was a cool guy and he had no intention of telling me I had to be skinny. In fact he said I should only lose a few pounds and that with working out again I would gain muscle and burn some fat and so my weight didn't have to change much to change my body composition. That was nice. Then Curtis joined us and the trainer proceeded to torture us. It was a good workout but man we are out of shape. I did better than Curtis since I have still been exercising a bit and he hadn't been in a long time. But still, it was much more than my lazy self has grown accustomed to. We were both very sore within minutes of leaving the gym. Especially my quads. So, my photo is of my very, very sore quads later that night. :)

Thursday April 8th~ Curtis and I were so sore we could barely move. Damn trainer.
;-) Today I watched Henry for a bit for Karen while she was getting her hair done and her hubby Mark worked on some art jobs he had due. Henry and I went for a nice long walk around their neighborhood and then checked out Sprouts Market. I really liked Sprouts! They have some cool stuff and pretty good prices! I hadn't brought my wallet with me though so I headed home with Henry empty handed. Then I gave him some lunch and then Karen came home so we walked back to Sprouts. I got some goodies to take home and then headed home. Later Curtis and I went to the gym to do a light workout. Then I walked Frankie. I was pretty pooped by the end of the day! And by that night all you could hear around my house was me and Curtis saying "Ow" everytime we had to sit down or bend down to get something. It was actually pretty funny. The photo of the day is of Henry in his stroller. :)

Friday April 9th~ I was still sore but didn't feel the need to say "ow" as much today. Yay! I started the day with an early morning at home workout since I knew I'd be busy today and wouldn't make it to the gym. We went to a fancy schmancy bridal salon's semi annual sample sale! Julie and Karen came with me. It was fun! If not a little mortifying since they bring everyone into a room with the bridal consultant and then make the bride strip down in front of everyone. I don't really mind being in my underwear, but stripping out of jeans and stuff while everyone else in the room is just sitting there is weird. I read to always wear nude colored underwear to try on bridal gowns so I did. But the only nude colored undies I have are also pretty sheer. So.... yeah.... awkward. To complicate matters the bridal consultant said that she wants to write a book about her years working there. Great. Now I'll be in the chapter about brides who wear inappropriate underwear to try on bridal dresses. Anyway, the dresses there were stunningly beautiful and fancy. I'd post photos but because it was a "fancy" upscale place they didn't allow photos to be taken of the dresses until I decided on one. I find that a little silly myself, but whatever. But my friend Julie did take this photo of me in one of the veils.

The sample sale was also misleading. It was not really a sale at all. All the dresses were about $1500 at least. And they were only $100 off. They used to do real sample sales where they sold the sample dresses for REALLY cheap. I think they now only say they are having sample sales to entice people to come in and try on dresses. They had dresses there that were $20,000! I can't even imagine spending that kind of money on a dress! Even if I had a lot of money to spend... I mean... wow. But it was nice to try on dresses in the fancy salon even if I didn't end up finding my dress there. After we left there we decided to head over to David's Bridal again to see what we might find. As it turns out, we found THE dress for me. And so I bought it. And it was under $500. Yay me! I also bought my veil.
My photo is of me Julie and Karen at the fancy salon! Henry was also there!

I ended the day taking Frankie for a walk and then hanging out with Curtis. :)

04-01-10 through 04-3-10 A catch up!

On Thursday April first I did not care about April Fool's Day but I did care about trying out the food at The Hacienda. Since we were considering the location for the wedding we were given a free dinner to try the food there. They are only open to the public as a restaurant on Thursdays so we had to go early in the evening so that Curtis could get to the class he teaches. The food was DELICIOUS! Seriously the best restaurant enchiladas I've ever had! And everything else there from the appetizers to the sopapillas were awesome! We were very impressed. They also have a Sunday brunch. We have to check that out soon!

Friday April 2nd we went to Temecula wine country to see a couple of possible wedding venues and do some wine tasting. It is so pretty out there! And the wine is so very good. We visited The Falkner Winery and Wilson Creek winery. Falkner is gorgeous and would be perfect for the wedding but is just a bit out of our price range. And we're concerned about making our guests trek out there as well. But yeah, it's super pretty. And their wine is also VERY good. We did a tasting of 7 wines each and they were all good! I hadn't eaten much so I got tipsy pretty fast. Also, my taste buds are a bit off lately ever since my cold and so I couldn't really handle my favorite reds and instead was really favoring fruity whites. Weird.

We also stopped for lunch at Wilson Creek Winery. The food at the Creek Side Grill was so very good! I used to do shows and attend parties at that winery years ago. It's been built up and expanded quite a bit. It's really pretty too but I think for the wedding I am favoring Falkner Winery. But it was neat to visit Wilson Creek and to have some of their famous Almond Champagne. Also, the busboy was cute and I in my tipsy state wanted to bite him. True story. Curtis loves me anyway. In fact after we left wine country he ended up buying me frozen yogurt with our friend Dean. I love frozen yogurt! And seeing Dean is always nice.

On Saturday April 3rd we had an early Easter dinner with Curtis's family. It was a nice day and as usual we stuffed ourselves silly on Curtis's mom's food. Seriously. SO. MUCH. FOOD. She always starts out with lots of yummy appetizers and so it's hard not to fill up on them but then when the main course is ready it's hard to eat! But it was all really delicious and we all had a really nice time catching up with everyone.

03-30-10 Good day, bad night.

Today we went and looked at wedding locations. We went to three that are all owned by the same lady. Tivoli Terrace which is in Laguna Beach and decorated in a European style. Tivoli Too! Which is also in Laguna and decorated in a Mediterranean style and The Hacienda which is in Santa Ana and has an old Spanish ranch house kind of style.

We thought we'd like Tivoli Too the best, and while it was certainly lovely, we really ended up loving The Hacienda. All three locations pretty much do everything for you and they allow your pets to be involved as well! That alone was a big plus for us! Frankie HAS to be in the wedding.

The Hacienda is a historic location built in an old ranch house that is almost a century old. It is also the biggest location of the 3 and it has lovely indoor and outdoor areas which is really what I wanted most out of my reception site. It also has two lovely chapels to have the ceremony at and all three locations are reasonably priced.

We still have some other places to check out and to consider but, so far The Hacienda is the front runner. They even gave us some of their award winning Viennese Spiced Carrot Cake. I'm not a huge carrot cake fan but I gotta say, this cake was so very good! It also has free parking and is somewhat central to most of our guests.
My photo of the day is of me with the box of cake they gave us to take home and try. Mmmmm.

Then I got home and well, the night could have gone better. I lost something important (not my ring, don't worry) and it appears to be gone forever. I ended up walking over 5 miles trying to find it, but it did not turn up.

On the plus side, I didn't freak out. This is pretty huge for me. I tend towards freaking out when things go badly but have been trying to do better about that. I still freak out sometimes but I am getting much better. I attribute this in large part to the wisdom and understanding of Curtis. Last night was just one of many nights where as he walked miles with me to try and find a proverbial needle in a haystack with flashlights in pitch black areas, I realized just how lucky I am to call him mine and how much he has added to my life. He was a good boyfriend, he is a great fiance and I am certain he will be a wonderful husband! I picked a good one and I am so glad that he also picked me. :)
